First, plug in the curling iron and let it preheat. Choose the temperature based on your hair type—140-160℃ for fine or soft hair, and 180-200℃ for thick or coarse hair. Then, comb your hair smoothly and divide it into sections (top, sides, and back), securing each with hair clips. Apply a small amount of heat-protective serum to the ends to prevent heat damage. Once the curling iron reaches the set temperature, you’re ready to start.

Take a small section of hair (no wider than the curling iron’s diameter). Start wrapping from the ends, ensuring the hair fits tightly around the iron without overlapping. Tilt the iron slightly upward and hold for 5-8 seconds (adjust based on hair texture). After curling a section, gently tousle it with your fingers before moving to the next. Keep the curling direction consistent for a uniform look.

Once all sections are curled, run your fingers through the roots to loosen the curls for a natural effect. For longer-lasting curls, spray a small amount of hairspray from about 15cm away. Check for any missed strands, touch them up if needed, and adjust the overall style. Wait for the hair to cool down before combing to avoid ruining the curl pattern.
